Who we are
Bookflix LLC is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA (EIN 42-2638699). We operate at bookflix.media and run an English-language book club and literary magazine. Narratoscope is a literary imprint of Bookflix LLC and is not a separate legal entity. Data controller for all services under both names is Bookflix LLC.

What data we collect
Account and subscription data: When you subscribe, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment data is processed by Stripe, Inc. and is not stored on our servers (see Section 5).
Platform data: When you join our own community platform, we collect profile information and activity data as described in this policy.
Communication data: If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence for support purposes.
Analytics data: Our website uses standard analytics tools (Yandex Metrica, Mail.ru Top) to understand traffic patterns. These tools may collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, and browser type. We do not use this data to identify individuals.
Substack: If you subscribe to the Narratoscope Substack newsletter, your data is collected and processed by Substack Inc. under their privacy policy. Bookflix LLC has access to subscriber email addresses and publication activity on that platform.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated profiling or decisions that produce legal effects.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For users in the EEA and UK, our legal bases for processing are: (a) performance of a contract — processing necessary to provide your subscription; (b) legitimate interests — analytics and service improvement; (c) consent — where you have opted into marketing communications.
Third-party processors
Stripe, Inc. processes all payment transactions. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified. Your card data is transmitted directly to Stripe and is never stored by Bookflix. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Substack, Inc. hosts the Narratoscope newsletter. Subscriber data on Substack is subject to Substack's privacy policy.
Google Workspace is used for business email (hello@bookflix.media). Email data is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Tilda Publishing hosts our website. Technical visitor data (IP addresses, browser information) is processed by Tilda under their privacy policy.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes (typically 3 years). Email correspondence is retained for up to 2 years. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
International transfers
Bookflix LLC is based in the United States. If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by law, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses with processors).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
