Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before subscribing to or using any services provided by Bookflix LLC ("Bookflix," "we," "us," or "our"). By completing a purchase or accessing the Club, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

About Bookflix

Bookflix LLC is a limited liability company registered in the state of Wyoming, USA (EIN 42-2638699). We operate an English-language book club and publish a literary magazine. Our registered business address is 122 Colony Dr, Prosperity, SC 29127 USA.

Narratoscope — a Bookflix Imprint

Narratoscope is a literary imprint of Bookflix LLC. It operates as an editorial alter ego — a second voice within the Bookflix magazine — and maintains its own Substack publication. All content, subscriptions, and commercial activity conducted under the Narratoscope name are operated by and on behalf of Bookflix LLC. Narratoscope is not a separate legal entity.

Subscriptions to Narratoscope on Substack are processed by Substack Inc. as a platform, but the underlying business relationship is with Bookflix LLC.

Subscription — what you get

A Bookflix membership ("Subscription") gives you access to the following for the duration of your billing period:

Club access: Full membership in the Bookflix community on our own platform, including reading materials, vocabulary guides, cultural footnotes, discussion threads, and participation in scheduled online meetings.

Digital magazine: Access to the current and all previously issued quarterly digital editions of the Bookflix / Narratoscope journal in PDF format, delivered via the platform or by email.

The Subscription does not include physical printed books or physical copies of the magazine unless explicitly stated in a separate offer.

Pricing and billing

The standard Subscription price is $15.00 USD per month, billed on a recurring monthly basis. All prices are listed in US Dollars and are exclusive of any applicable local taxes, which may be added depending on your country of residence.

Your Subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize Bookflix LLC to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' advance notice sent to your registered email address. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your access remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period.

Refunds may be granted at our discretion in cases of technical failure on our part that prevented access to the service. Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the affected billing date to hello@bookflix.media.

Intellectual property

All content published by Bookflix — including but not limited to essays, reviews, interviews, illustrations, visual experiments, original fiction, symbolic analyses, reading guides, vocabulary materials, and all editorial content appearing in the Bookflix magazine and the Narratoscope imprint — is the exclusive intellectual property of Bookflix LLC and its contributors, protected under applicable copyright law.

Subscribers are granted a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to access and read the content for private use only. You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, sell, or create derivative works from any Bookflix or Narratoscope content without prior written permission.

The Bookflix name, logo, and the Narratoscope name are trademarks of Bookflix LLC. Use of these marks without written consent is prohibited.

User conduct

By accessing the Club, you agree not to share your membership credentials with third parties, distribute paid content outside the platform, or engage in conduct that disrupts the community environment. We reserve the right to terminate access for violations of these Terms without refund.

Service availability

We aim to maintain continuous availability of the Club platform and digital materials. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for temporary outages caused by third-party platforms (including Substack), maintenance, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Bookflix LLC does not warrant that the service will meet your specific requirements or that it will always be available, timely, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bookflix LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the service following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
